The BMW X5 is a sports activity vehicle that provides both performance and luxury to drivers. A part of the fourth generation of X5 models, the 2021 BMW X5 is expected to reach Lancaster area dealerships at the end of 2020. There are several new features that BMW has introduced for the 2021 X5 lineup of vehicles.

Latest Changes for 2021

The largest change for the 2021 BMW X5 lies in its lineup and trim levels. Carlisle customers will have the option to purchase a new plug-in hybrid model of the 2021 X5. Additionally, customers who wish to purchase the xDrive45e trim will have access to a now more-powerful engine than the one found in the 2020 BMW X5 xDrive45e. The new engine layout of the xDrive45e will be a larger 3.0-Liter engine that houses six cylinders rather than the four found in the 2.0-Liter engine of the 2020 X5 xDrive45e. The new layout of the 2021 X5 xDrive45e will also allow drivers to choose between three separate driving modes.

Not much will be different in the interior of the 2021 BMW X5. Three rows of seats will still be included in the models, and each X5 will retain its stylish interior design. However, the rear-seat entertainment system found in the 2020 BMW X5 will be removed for 2021 models. As a result of the different capabilities of the trim, a separate instrument cluster layout is utilized in the 2021 BMW X5 plug-in hybrid model.

Several new optional packages are available for the 2021 BMW X5. The optional Driving Assistance Professional package, for example, will now be able to adjust based on pedestrian and cyclist detection. Additionally, the 2021 BMW X5 will be available in several new colors.
