First and foremost, thank you for your loyalty and support. We have all experienced unexpected and challenging times since March. As the owner of a dealership group, my primary focus has been, and will continue to be, the safety of my clients and employees. Ten weeks into the COVID-19 pandemic, we have learned a great deal in how to continue operations in a safe manner.

Service, parts and the collision center has been open throughout the pandemic and my team has worked tirelessly to service our clients. Our current volume is close to our pre-pandemic level, which is truly surprising and amazing in my eyes. I believe our process of offering pickup, delivery and loaner cars has aided in our quick return to a more normal service volume. It is our special, loyal clients who motivate our team to work hard to ensure we provide an outstanding client experience.

Since April 20th, we have been able to sell and deliver cars to our clients through an online and virtual experience. Our sales team has worked hard from home to stay in touch with their clients and to facilitate any client automobile needs. My sales managers have been in the dealerships Monday through Friday helping clients and delivering all sold cars.

As of Friday, May 22nd, Governor Wolf placed Cumberland County in the yellow phase. What does this mean for Sun Motor Cars? We are now able to offer test drives and sales by appointment. This is a positive step toward to our new normal. Although our brands sell themselves due to their quality, it is a real benefit for our clients to have the driving experience prior to their purchase. Clients may go on test drives on their own and we have a process in place to disinfect the cars after each and every test drive. Our sales team returned to the dealership as of Tuesday, May 26th; however, we have staggered their days to permit some working at home. Even while working at home, our sales advisors are ready and able to assist in any of your needs. The new sales hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our steps include:

  • Thorough cleanings of all dealership facilities daily
  • Sanitizing gel and foam stations available on-site
  • Providing our staff with specific instructions on hand washing and the importance of staying home if they are not feeling well
  • Adhering to the recommended six feet of social distance from other staff and customers
  • Clean and sanitize every customer's vehicle before and after service
  • Use of PPE includes gloves, steering wheel, floor and seat covers. All employees required to wear masks

We will be adjusting schedules and operations for some of our staff to ensure that we stay well and can continue serving our customers efficiently. These schedule adjustments should have minimal impact on our in-store operations.
